To honour the role of grandparents in every individual’s life, Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi, hosted the Grandparents’ Day Celebration-Vatsalyam 2025, on the theme ‘Reverberation’ – Echoes of Life, presented by the students of Std. II. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the removal of darkness and the spreading of wisdom and knowledge. A warm live welcome song and dance followed, setting the tone for the joyous occasion. The Annual Report of session 2024-25 was presented by the Vice Head Girl, highlighting the school’s achievements and incredible milestones. Each section of Std. II showcased mesmerizing performances on Spectrum of Strength: symbolising the unheard echoes of children, Vikram Veer: a spectacular show on the unheard echoes of the differently abled people, Hearts without Walls: an attempt to understand the unheard echoes of orphans, Power Within: the call of the child labours who are deprived of their basic rights, Swarnim Path: the echoes of the old people of the society and Triumph and Tranquillity: which unveiled the happiness that prevails after prolonged struggle. Each program symbolised unity, courage, and inner strength leaving the audience in awe. The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, the School Song followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, leaving an everlasting impression of love and respect for grandparents among all present.
Principal, Mrs Paramjit Kaur, addressed the gathering and inspired the audience with words of wisdom and appreciation for grandparents’ invaluable role in nurturing values. She further said that such programs aid in strengthening the bond between grandparents and grandchildren and foster a strong bond between them.
